Brian is an accomplished commercial attorney with more than thirty years of experience providing counsel to business clients. He is a former CPA who approaches business issues with practical, economical vision. Brian represents many small and mid-sized businesses, among them real estate developers, construction companies, event planners, advertising agencies, a computer technology company, oil and gas service companies, and importers of consumer goods. An increasing percentage of his clients’ transactions, ownership groups and business operations are international in scope. He also represents Colorado’s largest Workers’ Compensation insurance carrier for whom he has provided extensive business advice, and has negotiated and litigated the collection of millions of dollars of insurance premiums.

As a long-time Denverite, Brian has long-term client relationships that allows Brian to anticipate and meet a broad spectrum of legal needs. While experienced, capable and comfortable in state and federal courts, Brian now devotes most of his practice to the business needs of his clients. Preventative problem solving is often preferable to litigation for business clients. His practice encompasses contract preparation and negotiation, entity creation, preparation of non-disclosure, non-compete, non-solicitation, software and technology license agreements and advising clients on employment and limited intellectual property matters.

Brian remains very active outside of the law office. He is a longtime Big Brother through the Colorado Big Brothers program and previously served for a decade on the Board of Directors of Arapahoe House, Inc., including three years, as the Board President. He also served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Lawyers Helping Lawyers Program. Brian enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, mountain biking, reading, and spending as much time as possible with his 3 teenage daughters.
